Embracing Autism is dedicated to fostering a positive, neuro-affirming approach to autism, celebrating the unique strengths of neurodivergent individuals while also addressing the challenges they and their caregivers face. Our audience, which includes parents, caregivers, professionals, and educators, is looking for perspectives that acknowledge both the upsides and the downsides of autism, focusing on empowerment, education, and real-world solutions.

We are looking for guests who share a neuro-affirming perspective, meaning they celebrate the strengths and unique qualities of autistic individuals, while also acknowledging the challenges that come with autism. Who We're Looking For:
We invite autistic individuals, experts, advocates, and individuals with large followings or substantial experience who can speak to topics that align with our neuro-affirming mission. This includes:
- Autism Advocacy & Acceptance: Promoting autism acceptance and understanding while highlighting strengths.
- Parenting Strategies & Support: Offering guidance for parents raising autistic children and strategies for fostering positive development.
- Therapies and Interventions: Sharing evidence-based therapies and interventions that support autistic individuals while valuing their neurodiversity.
- Mental Health & Autism: Addressing mental health conditions like anxiety or depression, while also focusing on strengths-based approaches to well-being.
- Education & Learning: Creating inclusive, neurodivergent-friendly educational experiences that celebrate autistic strengths.
- Mitochondrial Health & Environmental Factors: Discussing the intersection of neurological health and environmental factors, such as blue light or EMFs, in an autism-affirming context.

Guest Requirements
To ensure we maintain the quality and relevance of our podcast, we ask that potential guests meet the following criteria:
- Neuro-Affirming Perspective: We value guests who highlight both the strengths and challenges of autism, focusing on a strengths-based, positive, and empowering view of neurodivergence.
- Relevant Expertise or Personal Experience: You should have a background in the autism space—either as a professional, advocate, or through lived experience—plus a willingness to share valuable insights.
- Impactful Content: You should be able to provide practical advice, evidence-based information, or compelling personal stories that will resonate with our audience.
- Online Presence: A significant online following or active presence in the autism advocacy community is preferred.
What to Expect as a Guest
Once your application is approved, here’s what you can expect:
- Pre-Interview Instructions: We’ll email you documentation to align on your topic and prepare for the interview.
- Recording: The interview will be conducted virtually and typically lasts between 20-40 minutes.
- Promotion: After the episode airs (once on video and again the following week on audio-only podcast), we can provide a media kit with resources to help you promote the episode to your community. We also encourage guests to share the episode on social media and tag @AutismWish.
