That's why we're expanding the Embracing Autism Grant to support autistic individuals of all ages\u2014both children and adults. Thanks to valuable feedback from our community, we\u2019ve made the application process easier and more accessible through our new membership option. Members enjoy the benefit of having their application automatically stay active as long as their membership is current, while non-members can still apply each month.\nTo make sure we can continue this important work, we\u2019ve transitioned to a self-sustaining model that will allow us to keep providing grants for sensory, therapeutic, and special interest items. This change ensures that the program remains available for everyone who needs it\u2014because we\u2019re here to make a difference, together.\n<p>\n<p>\n<i><b>Note: Applications will remain closed until launch of the new program in June 2025.  Those who have already applied will be grandfathered in and the random selection process will remain the same until then, at which point the new applications will open and our membership perks will kick in. Plus, members can enjoy extra entries for active participation in our community! Members also can redeem 5 extra entries per month into the grant pool and are eligible to earn additional entries via social media challenges.<\/p><p><strong>Non-Members:<\/strong> Non-members must reapply every month to gain one entry into the random selection pool but can earn additional entries by participating in challenges through social media and our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patreon.com\/autismwish\">Embracing Autism Community chat<\/a>. Recipients are responsible for ensuring that the item they request is appropriate for their needs. Recipients are selected from a pool of applicants, and the selection process is random. Selection is based on eligibility and availability of funding.<\/p><p>For <strong>Members<\/strong>, their application will remain active as long as their membership is active, and they will be automatically considered each month.<\/p><p>For <strong>Non-Members<\/strong>, they must reapply each month as their application will not roll over. If a grant cannot be awarded due to lack of funding, non-members will need to reapply in the following month for another chance. Non-members who are selected will be removed from the pool for one year after receiving a grant to ensure fairness to other participants.<\/p><p>There is no guarantee that an applicant will be selected or receive a grant, but we will do our best to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants. We reserve the right to modify or end the program at any time, with no liability to recipients.
